Red Hawk Rally and Patriotic Observance
Then as a reminder that April 22nd was Earth Day, they shared a poem about what YOU can do, not only on Earth Day, but every day to protect and preserve our beautiful planet we all call home.
What You Can Do
and the air smells of pollution,
When you feel like it's all piling up remember there is a solution.
There's something each of us can do
To keep the rivers clean
To keep fresh the air we breathe
And keep the forests green
Help clean a beach
Or Recycle bottles and cans
Learn about the problems we face,
and help others understand.
It doesn't have to be a lot, If we each just do our share
So take the time out on Earth Day
To show the Earth you care."

The following is a message from Center for Healthy Kids & Schools:
As you may have heard, the flu season is upon us! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that this year's flu season is starting earlier and is expected to be one of the worst the country has seen in 10 years. The good news is that this year’s vaccine is an excellent match for the circulating viral strains, and the vaccine becomes effective within two weeks following administration. The CDC is strongly encouraging people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Doctors say that the flu vaccine can decrease your chances of getting sick almost tenfold, and the federal government recommends everyone 6 month and older get the vaccine (please check with your physician if you have questions about getting the vaccine).
