Mrs. Wong's Weekly Update

August 17, 2026

Welcome Back

Dear Red Hawk Families

We have had a very successful first week of the 2026-2027 school year! Our teachers and staff worked hard to prepare the classrooms and campus to welcome your children and ensure a positive start to the year. We hope your students enjoyed their first week as much as we did.

Our theme for this school year is "SEAS the Opportunities to Learn." We encourage our students to seek opportunities to collaborate with others, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and engage in meaningful self-reflection. We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and success for all of our students.

We are excited to welcome back Mrs. Allaf as our Assistant Principal this year. We are also pleased to introduce several new members of our Red Hawk team. Please join us in welcoming:
  • Ms. Debby Hoang – Occupational Therapist
  • Mr. Alejandro Saucedo – Music Teacher
  • Ms. Guo – Mandarin Teacher
  • Ms. Li - Mandarin Kinder Teacher

We are grateful to have these talented educators and staff members join our school community and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our students.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we will make this an outstanding school year for all of our Red Hawks!

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)

We would like to recognize and celebrate our students' positive behavior through our PBIS Reward Program. Students earn PBIS reward points, which they can redeem for prizes through our Red Hawk Online Store.
If you would like to support this program, we welcome donations of small toys, trinkets, or individually wrapped candy. Please drop off donations at the school office and label them "PBIS."

Your generosity helps us encourage and reward our students' positive choices. We greatly appreciate any contributions and know our students will be excited to receive these rewards! Thank you for your support of our Red Hawks!

ATTEND TODAY, ACHIEVE TOMORROW

Student attendance will remain a focus at Hidden Trails this year. Regular attendance supports academic success and helps students build strong habits for the future.

Please make every effort to schedule absences only when necessary. When students miss school, they miss valuable instruction that can be difficult to make up.

Students at risk of chronic absenteeism may be required to meet with Mrs. Wong or Mrs. Allaf and develop an attendance improvement plan.

We're proud to share that we exceeded our district attendance goal last year and let's keep up the great work this school year!Thank you for making attendance a priority.

Project Wisdom

This year, we will focus on one Wise Choice each month. We encourage families to help reinforce these important character traits at home so that we can work together as a team to support our students' growth.

August Wise Choice
Choose integrity. (integrity = wholeness, honesty, uprightness) I choose to be honest with myself and the world around me, to integrate my principles into my daily life. When I choose integrity, I make sound and healthy choices. I feel good about myself, and I stand proud.
