We are excited to share that we have begun implementing Second Step, our schoolwide social-emotional learning program, to strengthen our PBIS Tier 1 behavior supports. Through engaging lessons and activities, students are learning valuable skills such as empathy, self-regulation, responsible decision-making, and positive relationship building. These lessons help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment where every student can succeed.
In addition, students have been enthusiastically earning and redeeming their Red Hawk Points through our online rewards system. By consistently demonstrating our schoolwide expectations and positive behaviors, students can use their points to redeem a variety of fun and exciting prizes. It has been wonderful to see students take pride in their positive choices and work toward rewards that celebrate their efforts.
Together, Second Step and our PBIS program help reinforce the positive behaviors and social-emotional skills that support both academic success and a strong school community. We encourage families to ask their children about the Second Step lessons they are learning and the rewards they have earned through Red Hawk Points.
